Through direct inspiration from nature, ancient teachings and holistic practices, music has become a channel for her to artistically express the heart-felt magic she has found through life’s ups and downs. Whether XAMONIKA is strumming her guitar, chanting mantras, harmonizing with birds or playing a sacred medicine song, music is her prayer.
'Music is medicine. Music creates connection, unity, play, joy. Music heals, it moves us, transcending emotions and feelings. Music is a universal language that every soul knows. Music carries wisdom and the capacity to freely open our hearts back to love.' - XA.MONIKA
XAMONIKA grew up surrounded by music starting from her parents’ gatherings at their house filled with piano, guitars, maracas, hand drums and singing to playing concerts in her family living room over the weekends. She picked up piano around the age of 4 and started playing guitar around 11 years old. As the years passed though her passions leaned towards dance and gymnastics, so when she started studying nutrition her dream was fully focused on fitness, coaching and holistic healthcare.
The guitar came back into XAMONIKA’S life during her 20’s to help her work through grief and heavy emotions, becoming one of her greatest allies and past times. However, she played only for herself and in her bedroom.
In 2020 after a massive transformation with her health she pivoted and started a new chapter in Tulum, Mexico where XAMONIKA fell in love with the earthly inspired arts, music, ambiance, and improvised concerts that were happening everywhere she went. Instantly she was drawn back to music and within a few months began playing in private groups and events. Since then she has dedicated her time studying medicine music, vocal alchemy and offering her vocals and music in prayer ceremonies, retreats, festivals and has vastly expanded her instrument collection while exploring songwriting and production.
